Speaker Series

The Centre hosts lunchtime speaker series throughout the academic year as a way to expose our students to a variety of research styles, substantive issues, and theoretical perspectives in the fields of criminology and sociolegal studies. Each year, the CrimSL Speaker Series and the Research Cluster for the Study of Racism and Inequality Series host scholars from nearby universities as well as more far-flung places to present work in progress or more polished papers. Registration is required to attend the talks, which are open to the public and commonly take place 12:30-2pm in CG 265 seminar room, preceded by a light lunch.
