The Centre for Criminology & Sociolegal Studies (CrimSL) is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Tony Doob Doctoral Scholarship (winter 2024 call).
To be eligible for the award you must be: a full-time CrimSL PhD student; near completion; within time limit for the degree; and in good academic standing.
A faculty committee consisting of Beatrice Jauregui, Graduate Coordinator, Catherine Evans, and Mary Mitchell will review applications for the Tony Doob Doctoral Scholarship.
How to apply
If you believe you are eligible for the award and you wish to be considered for it, please send a 1- to 2-page application letter by e-mail to Jessica Chlebowski, Graduate Program Administrator at crimsl.grad@utoronto.ca.
Your letter should explain clearly how you meet the above criteria; should identify an expected time of completion; explain how the award will support your progress; and identify any other funding that you are receiving in 2023-2024, including the COVID-19 Tuition Waiver.
Value of the award: $1,000.00.
Application deadline
The application deadline is March 15, 2024.
About the Tony Doob Scholarship Fund
The Tony Doob Scholarship Fund was created to honour Professor Anthony (Tony) Doob's exceptional teaching and research career through scholarships to support deserving students.
