Congratulations to CrimSL's Daniel Konikoff and Alexander Luscombe who were officially admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at University of Toronto convocation ceremonies on June 5, 2024!

Daniel joined the University of Alberta's Department of Sociology as an Assistant Professor on July 1, 2024. His doctoral supervisor was Professor Beatrice Jauregui

Alex started a full-time indeterminate role as a senior analyst at the government of Canada in January of this year, and also works as a data science consultant for the Peel Regional Police on their human rights project. Professor Akwasi Owusu-Bempah was his doctoral supervisor.

Participating in the academic procession on convocation day were CrimSL's Professor Kamari Maxine Clarke, Director; Professor Beatrice Jauregui, Graduate Coordinator; and Professor Patrick Watson.

Following the ceremonies, a crowd of well wishers at CrimSL's Spring Convocation Reception showered the graduates with good wishes and congratulations.
